Paint the Sky

Sunflower, a tall flower that is short lived. When you see them you have to stop and enjoy them before they are gone again. They stand around just waiting to be noticed. Something about that yellow against the blue sky. Painted with MaimeriBlu paints on aqua board.

Ancient Rhythm

I am drawn to anything native american. After seeing a few pictures of my ancestors I know why I am drawn to them. As I painted this watercolor I could just hear the rhythmic beat of drums. Imagine what it must be like to be a peculiar people with culture and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. This gathering was with the Native American Heritage Festival and it was such a privilege to observe. The feelings and images of that day will stay with me for a long time. Painted with MaimeriBlu paints on watercolor paper.

It's a jungle out there!

Have you ever gazed at the sky and saw animals or other images made by the clouds? I hesitate to ask this question for fear someone will twirl their finger at their ear and hum the crazy song. This painting was created the same way you might see images in the clouds. I used a mixture of gesso and plastic wrap for the "cloud" stage and then embellished the images I see with FW acrylic inks.
