I have looked for our town's water tower in lights every year. Why in the world did it not occur to me to paint it before now? A long time friend generously sent me pictures of the tower in lights. His father was a Goldsboro policeman and as a child, he occasionly was allowed to turn on the Christmas lights.

Chuck Taylors
What did you call them? Chucks? Chuck Taylor's? Tennis Shoes? Converse? Cons? Talk about staying power! They seem to cross generations. This pair belongs to my son in law and they were originally black. I ended up painting another pair just for him. This is watercolor using MaimeriBlu paints with a very limited palette.
