taking shape

This painting is the back side of the docks in South Port, NC. For such a small painting (7X10), it sure took a lot of time. I hope to try this subject matter again but on a larger scale and by creating only shapes to make the painting. Maybe it will be close to abstract. Painted with MaimeriBlu paints on watercolor paper.

Found this old boat just across the bridge to Beaufort, NC. I can only imagine the conversations in this boat, especially the silent ones! A quiet morning for contemplating. Painted this sweet boat with MaimeriBlu watercolors.
