Asheville, North Carolina has the most exciting art community and energy. There are so many places to go and see. Found an old store front window displaying musical instruments and just had to stand and enjoy looking at their shiny surfaces and interesting shapes. This painting is more abstract than I usually paint. Abstract is much more difficult than it looks. I throughly enjoyed painting this acrylic on canvas and plan to paint some similar pieces. Painted with Daler Rowney acrylics.
This painting is fantastic, Lou Ann. Is this some-what the style you'll be teaching in June? I'd like to learn abstracts aswell -- can't wait. Your work is brilliant!
